Serialize VEX function problem

Hi,

The help files say serialize does this:

"Flattens an array of vector or matrix types into an array of floats."

So I do this in an Inline VOP:

matrix3 m = set(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9);
float mvalues[] = serialize(m);

but it says "implicit cast from matrix3 to vector[]. Please use explicity (vector[]) cast operator."

I tried:

matrix3 m = set(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9);
vector mvalues[] =(vector[]) serialize(m);

Still doesn't compile.

Is the serialize function documented wrong? How can I get the values of a matrix into a single array of floats?

Nevermind I found it. This works:

float mvalues[] = (float[]) m;
