Ben Fiske Posted August 18, 2012 Share Posted August 18, 2012 I'm in the process of creating a new OTL, but noticed I can't use $PT on any of the parameters to drive their values. Ben Fiske Posted August 18, 2012 Author Share Posted August 18, 2012 Ah, figured it out. For the future users, the subnetwork doesn't really have knowledge of the data flowing into it. To allow point variables like $PT or $ID to function, nest a SOP in the subnetwork with the desired parameter and link that parameter to the subnetwork using the "From Nodes" panel. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hopbin9 Posted August 18, 2012 Share Posted August 18, 2012 I've found this to be a tricky issue with assets. Sometimes linking works and other times it doesn't. For a straight link it seems to work, but if you try to set a default for the custom parameter that uses $PT on a linked parameter then it breaks. Don't know why.
