breadbox
I was wondering why the pixel order for the Y values start from the BOTTOM of the image and increase while going up? seems a bit counter intuitive but maybe it makes sense in Canada? Is there a way to control that. so I can say TOP - BOTTOM instead?
rdg
Bottom-up is a common way to store image files, not only in Canada.
breadbox
only other thing I have to compare it to is adobe which starts in the upper left. I guess I can always transform and flip scale in Y.
rdg
Most likely Adobe gives you a ruler that start top-left. The pixel order of the images it writes might still depend on the specs and be bottom up.
digitallysane
I always found AfterEffects' way to be the one that is counter-intuitive, with its "Y increases = layer goes down" convention. In COPs it's just the same way with rest of Houdini (3D viewports, graphs etc) and most 3D apps: Y goes up.
