buran13
Hey guys, When using refractions, when Mantra hits the refraction limit the ray is trapped and it outputs black. Is there a way to let the ray go out of the object once it hits the refraction limit? Thanks a lot!
dennis.albus
You can create an environment light and set the rendering mode from "Direct Lighting" to "Ray Tracing Background". Then you can specify in your mantra ROP under Properties>Shading>At Ray Limit to use Direct Lighting as Background Color. However this only works for the MP and RT engines and not for PBR. Other than that you could possibly check for the ray depth inside the shader and do it this way. -dennis
