djwarder
Hey, has anyone used flownoise or curlnoise to drive volume motion procedurally at all? I've looked thru the docs and searched the forums, but there seems to be very little info on these VOPs. Any ideas or examples would be great! Cheers Dan
Filipp Elizarov
You can create Gas Field Vop in Dop context and inside that node add curl noise to empty Vel field or any vector field and visialize that with Vector field visualization microsolver - like streamers after that you will know how it looks like and can compare all types of noises which available in Houdini.Dop context can help you a lot because you always can see what happend with your volume.Curl noise will give you a very nice swirly motion in volume and it will help you to create a nice small details in volume. djwarder
Hey Filipp, cheers for the advice. Unfortunately, I'm doing this all with an Escape license, so no DOPs for me. Starting to get things looking better tho, just need a nice shader for fog with proper attenuation, etc!
