refining sim

still trying to wrap my head around houdini. i would love feedback. or even vague directions in which you guys think would help. my overall problem wit it is the spray sim. I feel like there are better ways to shade them. is there another way to make them look more foamy and less particley? i would also like to figure out how to get the particles to die after a certain distance. or if there isnt another particle so far away that it dies or somehting. i just feel like there is too many particles freely farting about. i like the way they look when they are in the mesh, and even some of the ones that are doing their own thing outside of the mesh, and increasing the number of particles makes the later mentioned particles look way better but the free acting ones... not so sure about. i dont rightly know what to do.

any suggestions would be awesome. thanks so much in advance for your time.
