danylyon
Hi How can I render Particles semi transparent (with alpha)? If I use the render pop, I can set it to sphere disk etc. And If I add a Color Attribute (with Color) I can color the Particles. But I can't get them semi transparent. If I give it an alpha, it doesn't get picked up by the render pop, even though they are semi transparent in the viewport. Am I missing something? dark_cry
hey danylyon, just cache out your particles, read back and tick the point render option on geo node. Create your attribs like alpha, cd, pscale and etc and render. It should work!
danylyon
I can't get it to work :-( Something I'm doing wrong. Here's the HIP. The particles still are not semi transparent. particle_help.hipnc
bloomendale
You need material which understands Alpha attribute (and uses it) applied to your particles.
