bios
Hello, I have a box filled with particles moving with some velocity. I would like to switch the particle behaviour to fluid behaviour when this box is falling down and impacting with the ground, trying to simulate a chunk of sand falling and hitting the ground. I m trying to convert these particles and plug them to a fluid solver but without success. I tried to generate a volume with a fluid source node. Then in dop creating a volume source and a flip object and plug those into a flip solver. But doesn't work for me. I was thinking that I could also avoid flip at all but this would mean finding a way of making the particles collide while preserving some volume on the impact (If I bring the POP into DOP the particles go to the level zero of the floor and don t stuck on each other as fluid would do). Any help would be great : )
michael
have a look at the Cloth Master Class http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2406&Itemid=344 near the end is a little section on using just points as cloth... @ ~01:25:
