yongbin
I tried "houdini newfile.hip" but had no luck. Is there a way to make a new hip file directly from command line? I am using windows. Thank you!
pyrochlore
Use hython interactive interface. It starts an empty hip file for you when you get in. Use hou.hipFile.clear() to clear everything. then use hou.hipFile.save(fileName) to save your file. you can also write the command you just typed into a python script. then run it from command line. pyrochlore
If you just start a new session, no need to use hou.hipFile.clear().
