jungjaehwa
Hi Everyone, I would like to ask you about a Vopsop Sop. As you can see attached file, I made spheres rotating each X-axis. But I want to control a Vopsop Sop instead of Copy Sop. So I have tested in vopsop with Transform Matrix vop, but fail. How to do in Vopsop Sop append a vopsop after copy sop? Please let me know. geo_rotate.hipnc
bloomendale
You still need copySOP to make 5 additional copies. I used 2 vopsops - one to orient and place each box to template point (you can make it with copySOP using second input) and second - to rotate along arbitrary axis (used local X of template point) 3ak_geo_rotate.hipnc
jungjaehwa
Hi Bloomendale, Thanks for sharing precious your time. I am glad to hear from you so soon. I am looking at your attached file, but I can't understand fully at once. Specially There are first sight about Quaternion and QuaternionToMatrix3 VOP. To understand your file, I have to study math for more. It is difficult node in vopsop.^^ -----------------------------pass time for 3hours ------------------------------------ I guess you solve this problem with P, N, up, cross, and Quaternion mainly. To explore your hip file, I am happy. Have a great day. If you possible, I would like to heard what your logic.^__^ Edited January 31, 2013 by jungjaehwa
gui
See the files... I´m not an quaternion expert, but I my setup is somewhat similar, since the idea in the transform matrix is the same, using vector-3 or quaternion... geo_rotate.hipnc
jungjaehwa
Hi Guilherme, That's pretty good. Really really Thanks you. This is just what I meant. Your handwriting explanation help so much for me. It is a solution to make rot axis! OK, I am able to understand. Thank again. gui
I´m glad I could help! If you want to mimic bloomendale´s setup, instead of using the vector pointing up (0, 1, 0), use a facet sop computing normals and use it in the vop sop (in another input).
