Fracture Exporting problem!

Hi all!

I've little bit question about fracture exporting. I simpely shattered a glass, but finally I export to Maya the shading it's not correct, Like Images... so Any one tell what can i do? I don't know what happen to my scene?

Have you explicitly generated normals on you Houdini model?

By using a facet node for instance.

you can check by using the middle mouse button on the final node. is should say 'N' somewhere in the point or vertex attributes.

It can also depend on the format, or import settings you are using to import the glass in Maya.

In your glass geo object node, there should be a SOP call dopimport or something like that - this is what's getting the stuff back from the simulation. AFTER this node, add a Facet SOP (right click on the node and look for Facet). Once you've added this node, turn on post computer normal, and maybe pre-compute normals (I don't remember if you need one or both). This should fix the problem. Then save this out to disk.
