JuriBryan
Hi everyone, So I am working on a destruction shot right now where the ground caves in. The plan is to project the background image on the top side of the geo and use a procedural shader for the rest. The problem is that some how the rendered projection looks nothing like the image... well it does but it is saturated/desaturated more gamma less gamma and I can't get it match perfectly with the background image. I am using a constant shader with the image as a texture... that should actually be enough, right? I changed the gamma on the image from 0.454 to 2.2 and 1... nothing helps. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Cheers, Juri
sanostol
mh, srgb sources need a gamma of 0.454545, linear images must not be modified mantra as any renderengine needs linear stuff to work with, but You viewer needs to apply a gamma of 2.2 so You see the correct image
JuriBryan
I do know that. I correct the images for the correct colour space, but when I import the image into nuke it does not look like the original image. I am not at home right now, but I will post a image tomorrow morning. But to me it looks like there are some strange colour multiplications going on... no idea where they come from and what I could be missing. Thanks for your help so far! sanostol
might help if You also post a texture example
JuriBryan
HI, so here is a test render with the back ground. I tried to grade it to match the background but no matter what I do it just seams off. (the image is not graded) Here is also the file showing what I am doing with the texture I used. Hope someone has a idea on what I am doing wrong. Cheers, Juri rbd_01.hipnc
