Alejandro has a lot of stuff like that, search his name on the sidefx forum once it comes back up online.

Basically you want to create a velocity field to direct your smoke, or, subtract objects position from current voxel position to get the vector and add a percentage of that back on top.

He has posted some of his scenes for people to look at.

Also there's a shelf tool that does something similar I believe, but I'm not in master and can't search help atm to have a peak.

Hello, two days, I found many similar results of a lot example file, combined with their own attempts, I still have some problem can't solve:

First: to make smoke toward a certain direction method: I checked the Alejandro for fluid oriented OTL, found the tool just made a field, will not be able to make a custom field with smoke raw speed do mix to form a good animation, I hope that in the custom field with fluid dynamics between speed has a weight can be controlled respectively for smoke control;

Second: about an object, Goal, I try to use the tools on the shelf, but the other me down, I found that no matter how to adjust parameters, even if only a little when the smoke into the attraction radius, all of the smoke will be attracted to the object at the same time, it is very stiff, is my parameter adjustment is there a problem?

Anyone have a better solution?

The last time I send files, I want to smoke with the path eventually wrapped onto another object and the object keep disturbing dynamic fluid

If this problem is not difficult, if anybody can share a file for me? Thank you very much! If this problem also let you feel headache, if we can discuss together, how to solve it?

Thanks all!
