johner Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 So I guess the FLIP solver is always improving? FLIP is definitely in active development, just mostly in the H13 branch. Occasionally when a really important bug gets fixed we'll backport to the production release, as in this case. Do you guys know of any other issues or things that it's lacking currently? This issue was a big one, actually. It didn't show up much with large scale water and splash sims, which are probably FLIP's primary use cases. But for smaller scale stuff involving containers it was a constant source of trouble. As it stands FLIP is in use at lots of studios and fully production-capable.
