Mikael
Hi! I'm fairly new to houdini and I wonder how I can delete all points that have only two connecting edges? The purpose is that I have just used a cookie SOP and want to extrude and smooth my mesh but I don't want to have the extra points that the cookie SOP leaves me with, because then my mesh gets so wierd when I extrude and smooth. So any solution that solves my problem is very welcome.... Thanks! /Mikael Edited September 3, 2013 by mikael
kgoossens
Can you post a screengrab of what you mean? Because sometimes having extra points is unavoidable.
Mikael
There, I added some pictures. I could just delete them using a blast node, but since I'm working on a comercial and we often get changes I was looking for a quick way to handle this if it comes to changing the geometry in the future. Macha
In a vopsop you can count connected neighbours. Just group and blast.
kgoossens
You can also use volume break instead of the cookie sop. It is more stable and it won't generate the points in between.
Mikael
volume break works awesome, thanks Kim! but Marc, just out of curiosity how would I set up the vopsop? I'm not really kickass on vopsop...
kgoossens
Here's an example with the vopsop. selectingPoint2neighbours.hipnc
