adamg
Hi,, This is my first post here so BIG Hi to all of You. I am FX artist working at EvermotionVFX. Few months ago I touch Houdini... and its happened, end. And now its time for some noob questions: I've got group of points (selected by interpenetration of other objects). Now I want to "shrink" my selection (my selected points) in time by expression. Lets say, I want my points to fade out until frame 50 (for example) but without moving away my selection geometry. Thanks for any help A.
gaurav
Hi, Not sure which type of point selection shrink ? you are looking but one way to achieve this would be to use an attrib del = rand($PT) and replace existing grp with filter expression $DEL>$F/($FEND-$FSTART) hth, grp.hipnc

jbond
Hi Adam. Perhaps this solution works for your's task. P\s\ so you want to switch from Max ? Shrink_points.hipnc Edited September 14, 2013 by jbond
adamg
Thanks guys. It's more than I expect I appreciate. jbond> not exactly "switch" rather, to expend in some fields. Max is just max with some cool plugins. I realize that in some areas Houdini can give me more reliable and more stable (serious?) approach. Max+plugins are my primary tools... but some day...some day!
