Im trying to create a whirlpool effect in an ocean,I tried particles with radial fields..not able to get it perfect..?and not able to get the thickness also.. i want to have two layers..one is the ocean and the other is the whirlpool formation using particles..? michael Posted May 17, 2004 Share Posted May 17, 2004 try building a whirlpool shape and birth particles off of that, then add more layers for chop and foam etc... it's like building a tornado - only you want the negative shape not the positive... exel Posted May 17, 2004 Share Posted May 17, 2004 yup, like arctor said, make a whirpool shape... actually instead of mucking around with radial fields and vortex stuff, you might have a better time creating a funnel-shaped nurbs surface and use a Creep SOP (or Creep POP) and creep one or more streams of particles over the surface...
