rafaelfs
Hi, I have a small sim with a bunch of wires, each one representing a high-res model of a rope and I want to be able to capture/deform each rope by it's correspondent wire. The wire capture and wire deform SOPs only take in consideration the radius of influence though and some ropes end up captured by several wires and deform badly as a result of that. The only way I found so far is to isolate each rope and it's correspondent wire (using a couple of blast SOPs) and later merging the result. Problem is that it's slow to setup and to playback. Has anybody come up with a simpler better idea? Thanks! PS: Sorry for cross-posting, but I needed to make sure this was going to be picked up... edward
Try capturing in some rest space that is well spaced apart. eg. deform your wires into a regular well spaced apart pattern, copy the rop geometry to the root points. Now you can just do a WireDeform to the solved wires.
