3__ Posted June 15, 2004 Share Posted June 15, 2004 here's my curve-to-poly problem: 1. in an ortho view, make an octagonal curve (open). 2. make a larger (encompassing) rectangle and merge with previous. 3. convert to poly or mesh. poly does nothing useful. mesh will attempt to build faces using the curves, but does not regard the inner curve as a boundary and does some subdivision. skin will work but it subdivides the outer boundary. skin will not work with two inner octagons side-by side within the rectangle. is there a trick to this sort of thing?
