TheDunadan
Hi, some of you might have enjoyed editing maya files directly in ascii code and at times this is quite handy. Is there something similar in houdini ?! Or is houdini a nice program and never screws up any scene files I guess since the textport with its hscript commands is pretty good to analyze scene files, do search & replace operations etc. there might be no real need to any such thing as a ascii file. If there is however one, I'd like to know about it (I saw in the help only acsii geometry, channel etc. files, but details on the hip(nc) scene file format). m-egger
I want to debug the size of my hipfile right now and came across this tool, but I'm unable to understand how to use it. Any .exes in the $HFS dir I am fine with using, but those without extension? Are they able to be used on Linux only? I'm on windows and am a bit clueless. Thanks in advance, Martin
