An FX Artist designs and produces visual effects images and elements for feature films Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and produce visually stunning images and effects elements for feature animation projects Bring a strong sense of composition, motion, scale, and timing to effects assignments Achieve the visual goals sought by directors, production designers, and supervisors Offer effective creative and efficient technical solutions to problems Implement FX systems developed by FX Developers and Artists into production shots Stay current on department technologies and offer ideas to improve the FX pipeline Demonstrate professionalism at all times within the workplace Essential Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years production experience on high-end animation or live action visual effects projectsSolid understanding of Houdini or similar 3D effects software, and its application to particle systems, fluid simulation, rigid body dynamics, volumetrics, and procedural geometry generation Solid understanding of Nuke or similar compositing package Solid understanding of the physical dynamics of natural phenomena Solid understanding of computer graphics and vector mathematics principles Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines Ability and desire to collaborate with other artists Strong visual and problem-solving skills a must Scripting/programming experience (python, C++, etc.) a plus Job Location: Bangalore, India Duration of contract: 12-18 months Contact: If you are interested, please email your application to careers.ddu@technicolor.com DDU Sizzle reel (life at DDU): http://vimeo.com/32071503 DDU 2012 Studio reel: http://vimeo.com/50970882 Edited May 20, 2014 by DreamWorks Animation India Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
