supremeoh
I have a simple voronoi fracture, after the initial breakage how do I make the shattered pieces break into even smaller pieces as time goes on. thanks
Solitude
On the rbd shelf, check out the "make breakable" button. It allows for dynamic fracturing done in-sim.
briank1458
Is it ok to have a pre-fracture and then have it fracture more with the "make breakable"? I thought the pre-fracture was to have control of the broken pieces. Wouldn't the "make breakable" stop that by creating uncontrollable fractures? I don't know much about the pipeline/working in Houdini professionally. Genuinely curious! Thanks! Edited May 29, 2014 by briank1458
Solitude
It's fine to pre-fracture and then refracture in the sim. Pre fracturing is great for art directing the main shapes, and then the secondary fracturing is great for when you need to break those down further when they collide with other objects.
