POPnet - Collision with particles from Split

In a POPnet(old), there are particles colliding with a sphere. Those particles are supposed to spawn new particles, via a POP Split. For some reason, those new particles do not collide with my sphere. There is a collision node after the Split, having the Splits Born group as set as source group, but for some reason, it just won't work. Does anybody have an idea?

Seems like it fixed it, but somehow I cannot see any difference. You put in a peak sop for a slightly smaller version of that sphere, but you are not using that in the setup. I compared the POPnets and couldn't find a difference. It was very kind of you if you could tell me what you did in order to fix that scene.
