IMG_File : error propagation best practice ?

Hi,

 

  For methods which returns int e.g. ::create(const IMG_Stat &stat), what is the proper way to register errors ?

 

  In SOP, I see the practice of

 

         UTaddError("SOP",0,"Blah message");

        return error();

There's no real error reporting mechanism in IMG_File.
