RnD Technical Artist

One Animation is currently hiring an R&D Technical Artist. Whose focus will be on lighting and rendering techniques within Houdini for use across multiple projects. The candidate will work within the R&D department to assist in the development and enhancement of One Animation's CG pipeline. 

The specific roll is to work within the R&D department to design and maintain our rendering pipeline used across multiple productions. This will include researching new technologies and it's implementation into the production environment. Experience with the following CG digital assets is essential:

- Light rigs

- Cache geometry & alembic file format

- Shading systems & material shader libraries

- Asset management tools and render-farm management software

- Automation tools for scene building & data management

- Render engine and shader development


The ideal candidate will need to have a number of years working and developing for pipelines across multiple software packages for feature film and TV series productions. The candidate will need to demonstrate a strong command of Houdini and have experience with Mantra/RenderMan shader development. The candidate must have a strong background in software development using Python, C++ & VEX.
