pivot calculation with inactive piece

the pivot of a packed piece is not calculated at the first frame when its active value is set to 0.

I can use v@pivot = v@P as initialization but pivot and P are not exactly the same.

Is there a way to force the calculation at the first frame or to compute pivot like the bullet solver ?

What is your version of houdini?

While ago there was a bug that prevented packed prims to compute COM when solve on creation frame was on.


What I`m doing to compute COMs is to create another DOP network with just packed objects and bullet solver, turn on create active objects and solve on creation frame. You can also turn off Make Objects Mutual Affectors to remove pieces collisions at first frame and set bullet substeps and constraint iterations to 1 to speed things up.
