fcascinelli
hi there, I'm new to Houdini and I'm trying to put together few ideas for a cracking asset. This is a first step... have a look try it and give me your feedback. Using foreground and background colors you add or subtract scatter points. I've a question... how could it be possible to have a fixed distribution of points instead of the random with the scatter? and... why the "merge1" at the bottom give me an error even if it works? thnx ciao f testPaintSel02.hipnc
dszs
Hi, see the attached file. I just used an attribute to drive where the points will be scattered and set the bias in the scatter to 1 so the points will only generate in the areas where I painted. I am sure this is not the only way to do it but its my preferred way to control the cracking area. Not sure if this is what you are looking for though. As for the merge node, it is caused by mismatch of attribute. Your voronoi fracture has an extra name attribute. Cleaning it up will result get rid of that error. I did a fix in your original network to get rid of the mismatch. testPaintSel02.hipnc Edited September 29, 2014 by dszs
