Paint!
Hello all, once more I have an issue with the copy node.Putting into perspective my computer's specs are; Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ASRock B85 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive MSI GeForce GTX 750 1GB Video Card My current Nvidia driver is 344? I am learning Rigid Body Dynamics from Peter Quint and am on his first tutorial. Here is the file. If I was to follow his tutorial, all I have to do is lay down a copy node and then attach the line node to the right and box 1 to the left. Simple? Not for me I instantly get this error;7344: Fatal error: Segmentation faultI'm running houdini 13, I have done his series of smoke solver tutorials and glace and ice modelling tutorials with no problem whatsoever. Aside from when I have to use the copy node, it will always crash? Is this a hard ware issue? RBD1.hip
acey195
You have a decent machine, so I don't think so. I do know that the current Nvidia drivers cause issues with Houdini. You may want to revert to 340.52 or another 340 version. Although I don't know if that would also cause non-graphics driver crashes... Note that I haven't checked the actual file.
Sierra62
I am looking at the example file you posted, I don't get what the problem is. There is only a line and and two boxes. By the sounds of your problem you may need to download a new daily build of Houdini. It may be a bug.
Guest tar
there should also be a crash log file in the temp directory

Guest tar
seems to be the nvidia driver bug -try the latest Houdini build with the GL3 viewport
malexander
Houdini builds 585 and above fix this for the GL2 renderer. The GL3 renderer was not affected.
