segamega
Hello !I have an alembic file with animated needles and first they should behave like an alembic file and then they should fall. I use RBD fractured packed object, i made an active attribute for them and set it = 0, then i use sop solver to make this attribute = 1 when needles go through the box, but the problem is that needles dont get position from the alembic file when simulate and just stay at the 1st frame when active=0. How i can use position from alembic when they are passive using RBD fractured packed ? Thank you. Sorry for my english = ) Edited December 19, 2014 by segamega
pbarua
RMB on rbdpackedobject > Allow Editing of Contents. Dive inside find SOP Geometry (sopgeo1). Change SOP Path and Time parameter to Set Always.
pbarua
Above technique will work only for passive objects. If you want animated object to be active object then go through this: https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&t=30392
