Solitude Posted March 5, 2015 Share Posted March 5, 2015 You can use the ray sop, or in vops you can use xyzdist into a prim attribute node set to P. That will give you the closest point on the mesh face. You can also use intersect if you have a ray direction ( can usually get one quickly by creating an sdf volume and using volume gradient vop).
