jim c
Simple scene - three bits of simple boxes, set up as Static objects in DOPS. Then an RBD packed object with a magnet force. The magnet force works just fine now. But no collisions whatsoever with the static objects. Have I missed something horribly obvious? I've attached the hip file. I get the same collision issues even with a simple sphere, around frame 56 where it kicks in, the pieces just pass right through the static objects. engine-explv2.hipnc
Rio.Dominia
u set the explossion object very high level of the fracture division. for test . Just fracture lesser pieces for now.
radurock
It has something to do with the subnet being parented to the null. If you unparent those two you get perfectly fine collisions. You are using object transform on the static objects but the tool tip says the "transform of the object containing the chosen SOP is applied to geometry" whereas in this case the object itself (the subnet) doesn't have direct transforms on it but it's rather parented to the null, so I'm not sure how the transform gets interpreted. IMO it would be easier if you could do the animation with transform at SOP level, if that is an option Edited April 6, 2015 by radurock
