michaelb-01
I'm trying to bring in a midi channel but it doesnt show anything in the Motion FX view (Houdini 14). Is there anything I need to specify on the midinIn node? (If I open the midi file in something like quicktime I can hear something so the midi file should be fine). Also playing back audio is very jittery unless I set it to "Maintain realtime playback, possibly skipping frames". Is there a way to get smoother audio playback whilst playing back every frame? Even if I have nothing in my scene its still jittery...
edward
I forget which platforms actually support midi input. I think OSX does not.
michaelb-01
Sorry I wasn't clear, i'm actually just trying to open a midi file (not live input). I would thought I would be able to see something, but there's nothing at all in the Motion View...
renklint
As standard the midi-in will only show note number 60 (middle c). Try for example to change the note scope to 50-70 If you are not sure which notes that are in the midi-file you could use - http://flashmusicgames.com/midi/mid2txt.php upload your midifile and it will show it in text format
