sebkaine
Hi guys ! i have to achieve an Fx similar to this : I would be curious to get as much advise as possible, to achieve this in H. The goal is to have very elegant viscous fluid that behave like liquid painting that flow allong gravity. No splash / No pancake batter aspect allowed ... Just a smooth elegant viscous fluid that follow gravity. Generally for such fx you tend to favor SPH instead of FLIP grid , but it looks that now FLIP is the only way to go in H so i would like to be sure that SPH test would be a waste of time ! I think i will go with straight viscous strip of FLIP that i will then retime / deform in SOP then combine / merge / smooth in VDB. I also find this great tricks by Pavel that could help to get nice coherent surface. http://forums.odforce.net/topic/18111-flip-smorganicsheeter-effect/ Well i would be happy to know some expert pov on this , so if you have any tricks or idea that could help to achieve this , that would be very cool ! Cheers E Edited March 29, 2015 by sebkaine
