Cloth Penetrations

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Once again, I need your help on cloth simulations. Like the image below, there is a penetration that I can't solve.

I have played around with cloth settings, as well as the accuracy tab and substeps in finite element solver. But still the penetration exist.

Do you guys know any solution to this problem?

Your geometry is a static object, yes ? Have you tried playing with the parameters on the Collision tab ? Also try increasing the Collision Passes on the FEM Solver

Altho to be honest that looks really weird. It would be great if you could upload a file for people to check out.

Looks like your polygon count doesn't remain consistent throughout the duration of the simulation.

Try appending a Font SOP with the expression: `nprims(../node_you_want_to_check)` and run a Flipbook to see if the polygon count changes over the course of your cloth simulation.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help!!
