Joining the Dark Force - Begginer Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

We've decided to try Houdini here at ingreme . Since we want to speed up the learning process and pipeline implementation (if we manage to make it in acceptable time) I would like to know the following:

1 - Is there a similar site like www.scriptspot.com for houdini? I love the idea of sharing digital assets, tools, buying them, etc...

2 - Is there a facebook group where we can ask newb questions (not dumb!) and have good response (active professional users)? (like https://www.facebook.com/groups/thinkingparticles/)
3 - The best online payed resources are? (I know cmivfx, training.cgsociety.org and fxphd)

I will be searching all over for this information, but maybe you can help me out with your own experience, etc.

Cheers for now and thanks!

1.  Yes, http://www.orbolt.com

2. Not any official but yeah there are few. I don't think we need those because these two places are just awesome http://forums.odforce.net/

3. There are also some phenomenal free courses out there!

Look for the courses by Garman Herigstad, Kim Gooses and Peter Quint.

(Hope I got all names correctly here)

Also take a look at the work of Rohan Dalvi.
