seperate mesh by attribute

Recommended Posts

Hi,

i am quite new to houdini and am struggling with some basic problems.

I opened up the "Script Solver" "Scale Pieces" example and used "Glue Adjacent" to just have some parts detach on impact.

In this example there is a "hashit" attribute added to deal with the scaling of each shattered part after impact.

Now i am asking myself, how can i seperate the parts that fly off from the rest to use these for fluid emission? In some other examples there was velocity used on the geo, but since the whole geometry is moving that doesnt work in this case.

Can i add the parts to a new group by checking the "hashit" attribute in the AutoDopNetwork? Or should i do it after the dopimport in the geo node?

I am a little bit lost.

Cheers and thanks in advance
