Federico
Hi guys, this morning i started a little project of a volcano. For now i have only the smoke and i must still add the fire at the base of my container, but for curiosity i wanted to test the billow smoke shading and the renderings time. The first problem is that i cannot find the shader applied in my scene so i can't tweak the smoke, also i would like to optimize my renderings time but i don't have a lot of experience in mantra and especially combined with volumes so if someone has some advice in this regard i I would appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance for anyone who will help me, and sorry for my terrible english.
Sierra62
To find the shader for your shot, look under shop page. If there is nothing there, you will have to add your own, so add a pyro shader then assign it to your geo. As for render settings, use physically based rendering, and keep your settings low during look dev and then try to increase the pixel samples and volume quality till you get a look that you like and a render time that you can work with (I am assuming you don't have much of a farm to render on)
Federico
Thank you, seeing the billowsmoke in the viewport fooled me in to believe it was in the shop, and i will follow your advice for the rendering.
