Damo
This is starting to get annoying. After a stop a simulation manually, more and more frequently the model turns this odd black patterned texture. The only resolution is to restart Houdini. Full functionally is retained, it's just bizarre. Any ideas? bluciensky
I am not sure if there's a 'correct' way to fix this. Normally, I would just close the 'scene view' tab, and make a new one. That fixes it. This should be a little better than restarting the whole houdini session. Not sure if this will work for you though.
Damo
Closing and opening the scene tab doesn't really improve it. However I'm learning to live with it by advancing one frame back (or forward) and that clears it for a while. It's not just me then..... malexander
By "stopping the scene manually," do you mean you're pressing Esc to stop it from simulating? That would cause some of the viewport processes to halt as well (generating point normals, convexing), which is probably why it's shaded poorly. Damo
I'm pressing escape, but the problem remians in various ways after resetting the simulation back to a previous or first frame.
