cwalrus
Is there one?
cwalrus
Ok apparently it's the PointReplicate sop, but it doesn't seem to exist anymore! I HATE these help docs! Now it's "Replicate Points" and it goes in DOP, not SOP, correct? Edited October 7, 2015 by cwalrus
jkunz07
The point replicate SOP definitely still exists There is popreplicate in DOPs which is intended to be used with particle systems There isn't really one best approach to upresing particles systems it depends a lot on the setup and desired effect. cwalrus
Where is the Point Replicate Sop? I can't find it... I'm on the OBJ level looking in "ALL" nodes.
jkunz07
It's a SOP level node, you'd have to go inside your particle's geometry container where you can find it in SOP context. The closest thing at OBJ level would be the point replicate procedural shader that would generate more points at rendertime, but that can be tricky to set up so I'd suggest starting with the point replicate SOP first.
