revelationsr
Hello there. I have been tasked with the goal of creating some oil fire. Something like this. Since I was rather new to Houdini I was hoping maybe someone could point me in the right direction. Maybe there is a good tut? Or maybe someone has a good setup I could pull apart and have a look see? Thank you. Cheers
Farmfield
One of the "problems" with the PyroFX solver is, it really, really enjoys looking like an oil fire, so this is likely one of the easiest looks to achieve with Houdini... And this tutorial from Carlos Parmentier is a good place to start in regard to messing with the PyroFX shader. jrockstad
Oh, cool, I hadn't seen that video before - looks nice! This tutorial from SideFX may be of interest as well as it also goes over a bit on how to use custom velocity fields to control your sim.
