How should I apply ocean wave map to lower resolution FLIP surface?

First of all, I have a boat object interacting with an ocean wave.  I got the FLIP surface finalized and cached out but I have no idea how to apply the same ocean wave texture map to the FLIP sim surface to make them into one ocean scene....  The ocean wave has pretty high resolution while the FLIP surface got much less detail so to show the displacement.....  Any one know where I should check?  Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure this will help but I'd recommend just applying the same ocean wave deformer to your finalized flip surface.   That's how I've done it in the past.   You can also apply the deformer to the whitewater passes.
