ITdreamer
HiI have sphere turned into vdb. The camera is inside the sphere. The VDB resolution is not too high to get much details. I've created CVEX shader with noise mapped to density and applied it to volume VOP. I've also created a VEX Volume Procedural and mapped it to CVEX, and in the Render panel of the Sphere I set Procedural Shader to VEX Volume Procedural. From this moment I thought, that the resolution of the VDB is not matter, because of CVEX shader, but I was wrong. If I decrease the resolution of the VDB I get less detailed result in the render. What am I doing wrong? How can I get high detailed volume on render without increasing the resolution of the VDB?ThanksI've attached my simple scene. 1.hip
ITdreamer
I seems nobody knows )) Or the problem is too complicated to try to explain what's the problem
sekow
had a quick glance, you have to apply that vex procedural volume to the obj. you just rendering the lo res vdb. and if you want to sample what you did in sops, you need to get it somehow into the cvex shader too. check the file. 1.hip Edited February 7, 2016 by sekow
ITdreamer
Oh, thanks.I'm trying to replicate what you've done.As I understand, you've created new geo and mapped vex_volume_procedural to it. Looks like thats all. I did the same, but I get a black screen ((.
