Bullet RBD Sims

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

getting into bullet and getting to know RBD stuff. Having huge issues - cannot seem to get my constraints to work properly - my geo seems to sink straight away and constraints dissapear thus - take a look at my hip file give it a quick play and youll know what i mean - ive tried constraining in diff ways from diff tutorials and using the shelf tools - messed with decay and propa rates just unsure what to do so any guidance help on what is going wrong or what i am doing wrong would be great thanks guys!

Your setup is fine. The reason why it's breaking is due to the high density(resulting in high mass) of your object and the glue strength of your constraints. If you lower the density and up the strength of your constraints it should hold. Although you then would have to constrain (maybe the outer parts) to the floor so it doesn't get pushed away in a block. To prevent some objects from sinking i would recommend to lower the ground a small amount. The bullet solver does not know which object is on top since they are both at the exact same height.

Hope it helps.
