chrisdunham95
Hey guys got a blood explosion ive been working on for a student film, and everythings been good until now when ive been trying to do high res final sims. For some reason after 10or so frames the sim slowls down hugely and is taking 12hours for first 18frames which to me doesnt make much sense for a flip sim with viscosity slightly changed density and already cached building collisions, cant provide all the files but if anyone can take a look through my sim/flip stuff and see if theirs any reason my sim time goes crazy as soon as i want 500,000 particles + bllodexplode1.hip Thanks guys Chris. chrisdunham95
Anyone got any ideas or can explain to me why my sim is taking so long? hugely appreciated Chris
Shinjipierre
Most likely the velocity volume size gets too high, can't tell anything from your file as it's missing everything.you could change the grid scale or the particle separation
chrisdunham95
the files are to big to include on here too sadly:/, - What i mean from my file and looking at my flip setup is their anything that is causing the high sim time - Changing grid scale will mess up other settings in the scene and particle seperation is what im upressing too and causing higher sim times - (i want better res tho)
