Mike3D
Hi, I'm using a light with Depth Map Shadows, but the shadow maps of the light doesn't show up on IPR/Render View render correctly, just show up nicely if I render the image to disk using the ROP node. No matter what I do, IPR/Render View is showing the Ray-Traced shadows type instead of the Depth Map Shadows, even If I change the shadow type to Depth Map Shadows in the light: Shadow > Shadow Type. (Please see image attached). Any idea why IPR/Render View is showing Ray-traced Shadows instead of Depth Map Shadows? Thanks in advance! Mike3D
By the way, here's the Hip file, so you can test it there if you have the same issue as me. (H15). IPR_Shadow_Maps_Issue.hip
malexander
IPR always uses raytraced rendering, which is likely why you get raytraced shadows as well.
Mike3D
Hi Mark, Thanks for your reply! Legit! So the only option to see shadow maps applied is to render a frame to disk, right?
