You might already know this, but this page in the houdini docs has really good info about how point attributes can be used to affect the transforms of copied objects. You shouldn't have to use copy stamping to affect the scale or rotation of copies, you should just use these point attributes.

Maybe you can add point sop before copy and connect from template side (to right side)... change the keep normal to add  normal and give there 1 instead of @N.x  or you can use $TX , $TY , $TZ
