Jordan Walsh
Just wondering what the most efficient way of rendering fog volumes with area lights inside them, like below. Seems raytracing is about twice as quick as pbr but I find it difficult to get rid of the noise in the very bright areas around the light. Anyone got any good trick for this type of thing? fsimerey
Use Micropolygon Rendering. I separate all fogs in a micropolygon pass, then composite with PBR beauty pass. See attached an example. fog_render_MicroPolygon_H15.5.hip
benderonline
I've always wondered fsimerey - do the edge mattes line up between Mantra's various render contexts ok? ie there's no difference in edge interpretation between the modes?
