How to use cellular noise at attribvop?

Hi everyone,

I am new on houdini,

I tried to make a cellular pattern, but seems can't get a correct pattern on a grid, don't know how to use the cellular noise...

The screenshot looks like your grid is on the ground, so the points are on the XZ plane. 

Where you connect the vectofloat and cell noise, you're using the 1st and 2nd outputs, which is the X and Y position. Change it to use the 1st and 3rd outputs instead, which will be the X and Z position.

Thanks for your help!!:D and let me understand the meaning of x, y , z output.  It works now! finally, I increased the Rows and Columns for the grid from 10 to 500, so the pattern looks more clear! thanks!!
