cgartashish
Hi, The Exponent option is missing in houdini 15.5. It is still present in the help menu but I cannot find it anywhere in the unified noise node. Is there a substitute to it or is it hidden somewhere? Please help me out. cgartashish
Nobody answered it. Still waiting for the solution but I have found a workaround myself after tons of frustration. All you need to do is add an exponent node available in shop context and connect the unified node and exponent node to a multiply node and then connect multiply node to the desired output, in my case, a ramp parameter and then to surface model. Now the exponent node will act same as it should act.
Guest tar
Not sure but it could be an oversight - send it into SideFX. You can also change the operator type to Unified Noise :: 1, that brings back the exp option

RMB on the node / Change Type Assets menu / Manage Asset Libraries / Configuration tab -> set Operator Type Bar to Display - Display Menu of All Definitions. Then in you can choose it in at the top of the Parameter window.
