LPXO
Hey, Im new to Houdini so this is a fairly newbie question: I've created a popnet with softbody, drag, collision and force pops with the intention of pushing complex geometry through the surface of a grid to create an elastic-type material that stretches around anything you push through it. In my collison pop: - If i select behaviour to "Slide" the particles slide through my geometry - If I select behaviour to "Stick", the particles literally stick to the whichever part of the geometry they collide with and don't let go This makes sense, but is there a way to combine the two effects so that the particles stay on the outside of my protruding geometry but slide around as the geometry moves create a more realistic stretching effect? Ive tried numerous combinations of collision and softbody parameters and can't get it right. Any tips in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks! Jason
This is not very helpful, but you can look further into 2 things: */ The PropertyPOP allows you to set the "cling" for the Slide state. */ There is a "Final Behaviour" in the CollisionPOP you can experiment with. My biggest problem was that the face that I was pushing through the softbody had an open mouth
